Overcome Social Anxiety is a clinician written online CBT program, tested in eight published trials, one of them run with university students. A site license gives your whole campus access, working alongside your counseling center rather than adding to its workload.

Overcome Social Anxiety is a complete cognitive behavioural therapy program that students work through privately, at their own pace, on any device. It is interactive and personalized: students respond and the program adapts, with automated reminders keeping them engaged between sessions. It is not generative AI. Every word was written in advance by clinical psychologist Dr. Fjóla Helgadóttir, so you know exactly what your students are receiving, whether one student enrols or the whole campus does.
Two US universities licensed Overcome Social Anxiety for their students in 2022, and a Canadian youth health centre secured grant funding to offer it to young people, each with a different goal, all with the same mechanism: structured psychological support that scales past the waiting room.
Licensed the program to give students standalone access, and to let campus therapists pair it with supportive therapy or build treatment plans around its modules.
Deployed the program for enhanced social anxiety prevention for students affected by the pandemic, targeting risky coping behaviours and reducing mental health stigma on campus.
Secured grant funding to offer Overcome Social Anxiety to youth patients, extending structured CBT to young people who might otherwise face a long wait for care.
Social anxiety is one of the most common presentations at every campus counseling center, and one of the most treatable. But counselor capacity is fixed, demand spikes every term, and the students who most need help with social anxiety are often the least likely to walk into an office and ask for it. A site license flips that: every student gets private, structured, evidence based CBT from day one, and your counselors focus their hours where individual care matters most.
Students enrol privately with your campus code and work through the full CBT program at their own pace, no referral needed.
Your therapists pair the program with supportive counseling, using it as structured between session work.
Clinicians build treatment plans around the program's modules, giving sessions a shared structure and vocabulary.
Your team gets an administrator view of who has started and how far each student has progressed, plus downloadable PDF reports for treatment history.
Overcome Social Anxiety has been evaluated in eight published trials, including one run with university students, with effect sizes as high as 1.76 (Cohen's d), against roughly 1.04 for typical face to face CBT for social anxiety. Because every student receives the exact same program, written entirely by a clinical psychologist, the version tested in these trials is the version your counseling center would actually be offering, not a protocol left open to interpretation. Three of those trials are cited below.
"This program has given me the tools to start living the life I've always wanted."
"Though I still suffer from some aspects of social anxiety, this program truly did help me overcome a lot of the thoughts I was having. I am not as afraid to go out and talk to people."
"The program helped me realize all the anxiety I was having, and how much it was affecting my life. Having finished it, I'm so much more happy and confident to participate in social situations."
"This program has changed my life."
Licenses are one time seat blocks, not subscriptions. You buy a block once, seats never expire, and each seat gives one student full access to the complete program. When your students have used them, you simply top up. Every package includes the full Overcome Social Anxiety program, a campus enrolment code, onboarding materials for your counseling staff, and full review access before you decide.
Grant friendly. Previous licenses were funded through campus funding and health grants, including at Michigan Tech and at Foundry Vancouver Granville. The published evidence base gives your funding application its citations, and we provide the documentation to go with it.
No. It complements them: structured CBT for the many, and your escalation pathways for students who need individual care stay exactly as they are.
No. Every word of the program was written in advance by a clinical psychologist. The technology only personalizes which clinician written content each student sees. Nothing is generated by AI.
Yes. Students enrol individually and their responses stay private. We do not share any user data with third parties.
Yes. Every institution receives full review access to the complete program before licensing.
The program is self paced with built in reminders, and it meets students at the hours anxiety actually happens: the night before the presentation, not office hours. The 2022 Sigurðardóttir trial specifically studied and improved program adherence.
However you like. Offer it free as part of standard care, bundle it into an existing wellness or orientation program, or make it available through your counseling center's referral process. Seats can also be extended beyond the counseling center itself, to student health services, residence life, or an athletics or international student program.
Tell us about your campus and we'll set you up with full review access and license details.
